Sun Life / MetLife Universal Life Insurance Class Action

A proposed $213.5 million settlement would resolve a Canada-wide class action over alleged overcharges on certain MetLife universal life insurance policies sold between 1987 and 1998 and now administered by Sun Life. If approved, eligible Universal Plus and certain Flexiplus policyholders may receive direct monetary compensation, while Optimet policyholders will not receive settlement benefits.
